Iressa, a similar EGRF inhibitor (epidermal growth factor receptor) and Tarceva, doubles disease-free time for lung cancer patients (5.4 versus 10.8 months) compared to standard chemotherapy approach. Iressa also brings about more complete remissions (73.7% vs 30.7%). Article updated July 5, 2010
